
Falconer Program – Sheridan Perry

AT THE DISCOVRY CENTER Explore the fascinating world of raptors at our upcoming falconry program! Wildlife rehabilitator and apprentice falconer-in-the-making Sheridan Perry will talk about the history, techniques, and conservation efforts behind this centuries-old tradition as well as the vital role birds of prey play in ecosystems. Attendees will also get the chance to meet a real bird of prey face-to-face! Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, an aspiring falconer, or simply curious about raptors, this program offers a unique experience for all ages.
Bio: Sheridan Perry is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and the intern coordinator for Northwoods Wildlife Center in Minocqua, Wisconsin. Prior to starting work with NWC in 2022, Sheridan worked in six different states as a wildlife rehabilitation intern or a biological science technician for the U.S Forest Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the National Park Service, or the Minnesota DNR. She is currently working on becoming an apprentice falconer, and hopes to fly a red-tailed hawk as her first falconry bird this upcoming fall!
