Koller Library Book Olympics

Faster, Higher, Stronger…in Alphabetical Order?!

Sign up now!! In celebration of the summer Paris Olympics, the inaugural Koller Library (Book) Olympics* will take place August 6, 4:00p.m., here at the library! This free event is open to the public. From July 1, you can sign up individually or as a team to participate in our high stakes, high skill, or at least, high ENTHUSIASM, competitive events. Or, come as a spectator to cheer on your friends and family.

Our “sports list” includes:

  • Book Covering Fracas (individual event) – Put a plastic cover on a book as fast and nicely as you can.
  • Holds List Relay (teams of 2) – Search the library for books, movies and more for the “holds list.”
  • Alphabetizing Tourney (individual or teams of 2) – Correctly and speedily order a shelf.
  • Puzzling Play-Off (teams of 2) – Put together a puzzle as fast as your team can manage!
  • For the under-12 crowd: Coloring Contest

Come in your own team jersey for a SPECIAL BONUS PRIZE!

This fun, silly, all-ages event will feature delectable international foods, and Callie, Sarah and Leah will serve as judges/commentators. But who will be our referee?? You’ll have to attend to find out!

*Olympics is a registered copyright of the IOC. Hopefully it is extremely obvious that we have no official connection to the International Olympic Committee, and of course, you cannot find our events in the real Olympic Games.
