If you are getting calls/emails for items you know you returned, but the messages say your books are overdue, don’t worry about it. As the email message explains, items may remain checked out to you several days even after returned. What the message doesn’t tell you is the reason. Your items immediately go into a 4 to 5 day quarantine when we get them. They are not checked in until after this period of time.

Don’t worry. We aren’t collecting fines right now. We may forget to take the fine off your account, though. So if a fine is preventing you from putting books on hold or renewing them, please give us a call and we’ll take care of that for you right away.
